  • First UK sports venue to be naturally lit - 88 light pipes draw in natural light saving up to 40% energy costs.
  • Top half of the venue is covered in 3,000 square metres of copper with a high recycled content which will develop a richer colour as it ages.
  • Uses rainwater and water from the non-potable water network for toilet flushing.
  • Working with University of Reading and Imperial College London to model and trial innovative approaches to reducing energy use.
